I spend a lot of time roaming the children's section at the library. I come home with piles of picture books to try out. I did this even before I had kids to read to. Random Reads is a weekly feature of something I found at the library and loved.
I won't give you too much of a description of synopsis, and no spoilers! Age recommendations are only approximate. Every book I put in Random Reads is one that I have read and highly recommend. Enjoy!
Mrs Biddlebox, written by Linda Smith and illustrated by Marla Frazee caught my eye because Marka Frazee is one of my favorite illustrators. In this wonderful little book, Linda Smith catches us up with lovely rhyme and a creative idea of what to do with a day that starts out on the wrong side of the bed. Marla Frazee brings her usual wonderful artwork that is perfect with the rhythm of the book. Appropriate for anyone with enough book-patience to sit still through the few minutes it takes to read the text.
Brother-Bug and Sister-Bug both gave 5 stars to this book, and even Toddler-Bug enjoyed the pictures.
If you get a chance to read this one let me know: What did you think?
